I was left a message that I need to update some pics, videos, and blogs. First off here is an update on what I have been doing with myself on the lanes. I decided to give the PBA east regional tour a strong start this year. I bowled in the first 4 events, cashing only one time but I did make the round of 16 for the first time in that one event. Unforunately, I did not bowl well that morning and I had to bowl against Patrick Allen. I was no match for him...lol...under statement...but it was definitely an experience I will never forget. I made that matchplay appearance after using my break pearl from 900 global the entire 8 games of qualifying. After using nothing but Hammer and a few ebonite pieces the last 3 years I finally decided to try some new stuff because I do not match up well with that equipment on the tour. I was very lucky to fall into some AMF and 900 Global equipment which totally gives me a much better look. I just added a few more of their pieces yesterday and love them all. This is probably one of the best decisions bowling wise that I have ever made. My intent is to continue to bowl well with their equipment and hopefully make their regional staff for next year. I absolutely have to thank Eric from 900 global for taking care of me, my ball driller Jim for his excellent work as we have ventured into some dual angle layouts to control my reactions, and last but not least my wonderful fiancee amanda for coming with me to as many tournaments as possible and supporting me every step of the way. I'll try and get some videos up from a practice session with my break pearl.
time for another update. so far this season has been going very well. my highest league average is in the 220's. So far this season I have shot numerous 270 something games, 3 289 games, a 299, and last night my first 300 of the year. my highest sets of the year include a 789 (201,289,299), a 782 (235, 247, 300), and a 773 (289, 263, 221). i've been working hard on my game all season long making minor tweaks here and there and i am very satisfied at what i have. timing is getting better as the weeks go on, (minor adjustment to ball starting height and posture) as well as my release (many adjustments in starting hand positions and releases). looking forward to hitting up a few more local tournaments to start shaping up for the PBA regional season.
Hey everyone, its been quite a while since I have posted. I have uploaded some new videos of myself for you to view. Heres an update as to how the summer went. I bowled in 5 pba regionals in my second season, first as a full member. My best finish was 18th, on the chameleon pattern, in Lebanon, PA. I believe I shot 1710 for the 8 games of qualifying missing matchplay (16th place) by just 4 or 5 pins. As for so far this fall my high game is 289, high series is 773, and my high average is 220 something. I blew like 4 300 games and 2 800 series already as I have switched to the Hammer Brand from Ebonite. Although be it Hammer is a brand of Ebonite, I match up better with their cores and cover stocks for some reason. There is one exception to that rule and that is my game breaker. If you don't own one you should be a ashamed of yourself as a bowler, jk. I've been calling it the ball of the year since the first game I used it. As we make our way into the holiday season I expect to start scoring a little more. I'm usually a slow starter every where until I get down which ball works where and thats usually around Christmas time. I wish everyone a happy holiday and good bowling.
